John 11:49-51

⁴⁹ Then one of them, Caiaphas, who was the High Priest that same year, said to them, “You perceive nothing at all.

⁵⁰ “Nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one Man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.”

⁵¹ He spoke this, not of himself, but being High Priest that same year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation;
